Over four consecutive weeks, we will dive into our inner landscape and discover creative expression through tuning into the major energy centers of the body. Ancient yogic tradition has mapped out seven major energy centers (Chakras) that begin at our root (perinium) and ascend up the spine to the crown of the head. We will learn about the energetics of these centers and how they relate to our development from childhood until this point. As we learn about these energy centers, we will engage in movement and art making exercises that are designed to reveal new ways of transcending our habitual patterns that are ready to be re-imagined.

'Somatic Learning invites you to rediscover the sacred, spacious intelligence of your bodymind, source of transformative healing, and the deep ecology of embodied mindfulness.'
Risa Kaparo

Maeve's experience as a yoga instructor, expressive arts therapist, and somatic (body-centered) therapist will support your learning process as you discover practical ways to connect to your intuitive wisdom, creativity, and freedom of expression while deepening your articulation of somatic awareness. “Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”

― Rainer Maria Rilke
