How do we survive the long dark? Many intact cultures say it is the ancient stories and community gatherings that warm our hearts and remind us we are not the first to go through difficult times.
Lissa recently returned from walking a bronze-age pilgrimage route across a landscape rich in story, meaning, and myth. In this evening of storytelling, poetry, and music, she will string small fires of story for us across the landscape, connecting each story to its place.
Woven through the evening will be an introduction to the ogham, and the creation of community poetry and ceremony based on this ancient system.
Join us at the Story Parlor in Asheville for mulled cider, homemade bread, candlelight, and community expressive arts ritual. May this evening of story warm us and prepare our hearts, minds and bodies for the winter.
